Jorge L. Castillo (DDS, MdentSci, MSD, PhD) is a Pediatric Dentist and Master of Dental Sciences from the University of Connecticut and Orthodontist and Master of Sciences in Dentistry from the University of Washington. He holds a PhD from the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia. He is Professor at the Department of Stomatology for Children and Adolescents, Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) and Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Department of Oral Health Sciences, University of Washington (UW) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Jorge is a member of the Board of Directors of the UW Timothy A. DeRouen Center for Global Oral Health. He has worked in collaborative programs between the UW and UPCH. Member of several local and international Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics Associations and also part of the editorial board of local and international journals. From 2013 to 2015 he served as President of IAPD from 2013 and he was President of the Peruvian Society of Pediatric Dentistry between 2005-2007. Between 2009 and 2011 he was President of the Peruvian Society of Orthodontics. He is also Past Vice President of Latin American Pediatric Dentistry Association (ALOP). Currently Jorge is the chair of the Congress Site Selection and Coordination Committee (CSSCC) of IAPD. He has published more than 20 articles in indexed journals. He has lectured in situ in several countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, Mexico, United States, Canadá, Spain, Portugal, South Korea, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan and Iran. He has two daughters, Briana and Belen, and a full dental family starting with his father Ramon, who was a pioneer of Pediatric Dentistry in Peru.
